Creating Community Groups

As I've mentioned before, this year at church we are trying to make our small group network more vital and integral to the spiritual lives of our members. We now call our groups "Community Groups", with the idea being that they really are a place where you experience genuine community and spiritual growth. There's been an interesting change in the preaching to promote this. During the application section of the sermon, Dominic almost always now says, "Here's what this will look like in your Community Group..." It hadn't occurred to me before that most sermon applications are pitched at the individual. Interesting shift...
