Blogometrics? Maybe they should create a unit at university and you could be a guest lecturer?
I'm still trying to work out the dynamics of it all. I'm not sure whether to focus on one subject or throw in a bit of novelty from time to time. I'm also not sure whether to concentrate on writing longer articles that people can think about, or whether I should write shorter articles too.
Yeah, but I'm trying to work out what people respond to (or at least read in the first place). What they want doesn't really come into the equation. If they read or respond to my blog begrudgingly, that's fine by me!
I've been discovering the utility of making your presence known elsewhere too. It's interesting to check the origins of my traffic and find out how many people came to my blog via my profile page. Whether they come back or not is another matter ...
I agree with the first two laws of blogometrics. The third I agree in part - I think the act of commenting will bring readers to your blog. Most bloggers I've encountered usuallyc cyberstalk the new commenters on blogs they regularly read.
I'm a bit cut because I can't post regularly on my blog. I can't do it at work, so I have to try and gun out a kick post and send it to my friend to put up. If I don't get a house with the internet soon, I'll lose all my readers!
Hmmm, I'll have to think about that. I guess the style of my blog would have to change a bit, as I usually like to write more indepth entries, with lots of pictures and links. Still, it'd be better than letting it die.

The second law of blogometrics is "Don't try too hard to please your readers"

Third law: If you want people to visit your blog, post intelligent comments at other blogs.
I suppose that counts me out...
I'm sure that's not the case, OSO.

Angus, have you thought about emailing your blog entries in? I email in most of my short entries.
How do you do that?
Go to the settings for your blog under the dashboard and click on the "Mail" button. It will give you a field to fill in to mail-in entries...
Cool, thanks.
Not thinking of anyone in particular are we Craig??
