Evangelistic How To

I read a lot of books, and at any one time I have a number of reading "strands" going on. I've just completed a strand I started six months ago, with the aim of reviewing the most popular/significant "how to" books on evangelism. Following are the books I read -

- Know and Tell the Gospel, Chapman
- The Master Plan of Evangelism, Coleman
- Telling the Truth, Carson
- Promoting the Gospel, Dickson
- Share Jesus Without Fear, Fay
- Becoming a Contagious Christian, Hybels
- How to talk about Jesus without Freaking Out, Covell
- The Complete Evangelism Handbook, Dawson
- Two Ways to Live - Know and Share the Gospel, Jensen

In terms of practical evangelism, the same ideas were mostly repeated in different garb - pray, be godly, build relationships, and learn to the communicate the gospel clearly. I'll do a more detailed review of each in the coming weeks, but if I had to recommend one book on evangelism to Joe Pewsitter, it would be Dickson's "Promoting the Gospel".

To be continued...
